The Dr. Irving A. Hokin
Keshet High School
9th-12th Grade

Adapted academics and therapies continue at the The Dr. Irving A. Hokin Keshet High School with an emphasis on learning relevant life skills in preparation for a life of maximum independence.

At The Dr. Irving A. Hokin Keshet High School, located at the Ida Crown Jewish Academy in Chicago, students participate in academics, t'efila, meals and special events alongside their typically developing peers. In addition to functional academics, a key component of the high school program is vocational and life skills. A full-time vocational specialist coordinates part-time jobs for students in the community.

Keshet's goal for these students is to help them achieve a meaningful work life as they reach adulthood. The Gershon Family Peer Mentor Scholarship Award provides a scholarship gift each year to a senior at Ida Crown Jewish Academy who demonstrates outstanding service in the Peer Mentoring program.
