Keshet Camp Programs
Summer 2017 Registration is open for all camps
For more than three decades, Keshet summer programs have enabled children with disabilities to attend Jewish summer camp alongside—rather than apart from—their typically developing peers.
With more than 14 full-day and overnight program options, serving campers from pre-school into adulthood, Keshet’s unique integrated summer camp programs offer participants the opportunity to gain independence and learn life skills (such as cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry) as well as recreational skills (swimming, climbing, canoeing, etc.) in a fun and nurturing environment. But even more important than the skills learned are the friendships made under the summer sun. Such experiences create meaningful bonds that last a lifetime.
When done right, inclusion positively impacts both the developmentally challenged as well as the typically developing child.
